Maintenance Services
New Maintenance clients begin with a Complimentary Maintenance Assessment in order to ensure we are properly prepared to support your garden. This on-site visit generally takes 30 minutes to complete. Boxwood & Basil limits maintenance services to raised bed gardens with drip irrigation, if you need assistance finding an irrigation specialist we can help.

Full Service Maintenance visits occur on weekly or every-other-week schedule. These services are best suited for homeowners and chefs that enjoy the benefits of having a culinary garden without all the dirty work and details. These services include taking a garden from seasonal planning to harvest and everything in between- Including bed/container clean up, soil testing, pruning of existing plants, replacing spent plants, organic fertilizing, organic compost applications, as well as seasonal preparation services including frost preparation. We can even harvest for you and leave it for you at your desired location on property. Edible garden maintenance services are billed on an hourly basis beginning at $80.00 and hour with additional charge for materials and plants. Hourly rate will be determined by size and location of garden. A Complimentary Maintenance Assessment visit is required before booking this service package. We appreciate the size diversity of gardens in our communities and also offer custom maintenance schedules/ services for larger or commercial properties.

Concierge Maintenance services are best suited for hands-on gardeners that are searching for a gardening partner to assist with general gardening support, and require flexibility in scheduling. These services are are billed at the starting rate of $100.00 an hour with additional charge for materials and plants. Hourly rate to be determined by size and location of garden. This service is perfect for the busy home gardener, vacation properties, as well as garden lovers that like to travel with the peace of mind knowing that their garden is maintained in their absence.

Every garden needs attention each season, especially gardens that are planted in our unique Central Texas region. Our Refresh visits are designed to assist gardens in preparing for the upcoming seasonal challenges. Whether it is a heavy producing spring season or prepping for the chaotic winters we experience, we are here to assist you in all the preparations necessary for a great growing season. Refresh visits/planting services are also available for newly installed raised beds ensuring your garden is set up for a successful first growing season.
Refresh visits are often helpful when you are prepping your garden for placing your property on the market. Food forward spaces continue to be high on the list of amenities, and a well maintained culinary garden is a unique feature that deserves to be highlighted. As many outdoor spaces transition to native and adaptive landscapes as well as turf, a raised bed culinary garden often brings vibrant seasonality to the space.
Refresh Visits-are usually booked once per season and can include organic compost, organic fertilizer, plants by request, cleaning up of raised bed interior, pruning of existing plants, as well as removal of spent plants. Refresh visits are billed on an hourly basis beginning at $100.00/hr. Plants and materials will be billed separately from the hourly rate to maintain flexibility to serve the needs of each garden. Garden Coaching
Already have an Edible Garden you love, but need some guidance to get things going in the right direction? Are you having trouble figuring out where to start? Do you need a gardening partner that can keep you on track with planting and maintenance? We will assess where you are and where you want to go with your garden, AND help you get there.
Garden Coaching Sessions- We will work side by side with you to help you get your garden where you want it to be. These one-on-one sessions take place in your garden. Sessions can include seasonal planning, planting, general garden maintenance, soil prep, bed refresh assistance, as well as intensive planting guidance. Coaching sessions are billed on an hourly basis beginning at $80.00 and hour, and are tailored to your needs. These sessions can be a one time visit or scheduled on a reoccurring basis. All materials and equipment are to be provided by client, unless prior arrangements are made. Any additional materials/plants requested will be billed separately from the hourly rate. Each garden is unique, and we tailor our services to help you reach your specific garden goals.
Consultations
While we specialize in maintenance and coaching, we are often asked to assist in the design and installation process. We are frequently consulted regarding soil, garden placement, bed/garden design, vertical growing structures, irrigation, and conversion of existing raised beds from ornamental to edible gardens. We are happy to schedule Consults to answer any questions you may have regarding the set up of your edible gardens, and can connect you with top rated landscaping companies for full service designs and installations. Our Consultations are billed by the hour at $100.00. We defer to Landscape Designers and Architects for detailed renderings, plans, and installations.
