Boxwood and Basil, owned and founded by Katy Jamail. As a gardener, with over 25 years of experience gardening in the unique climate of the Texas Hill Country, Katy has developed a passion for creating beautiful and bountiful outdoor spaces.

As a fifth-generation Aggie who grew up in Austin and has lived in Marble Falls for the past 17 years, Katy has a deep appreciation for keeping aesthetics and lifestyle in the forefront of edible garden spaces.

Through her years of learning and experimentation, she discovered that raised bed gardens and containers not only create beautiful year-round gardens, but also allow the flexibility to add seasonality to our spaces while adapting to the ever changing Central Texas weather. She has a focus on native and adaptive landscapes that thrive in our ecoregion as well as water conscious irrigation plans. Her dedication to the importance of those practices and our environment fuel her desire to encourage gardeners to use containers and raised beds for their annual interest and urban culinary needs. She can assist you in achieving the same rewarding experience that she and her clients have enjoyed.
